ResQPaws

ResQpaws Volunteer Organization is a non-profit animal rescue founded in 2011 in Yuba City, California. We work to educate the community about responsible pet ownership and to rescue shelter animals, as well as those about to be surrendered, by finding them foster and permanent homes. ResQpaws has earned the recognition of being a reputable, well-informed organization that serves as a strong and effective voice for animals throughout the state of California. Hello my name is Scarlett. My Id number is A095165 and should be used when calling the shelter about me because names can get confusing. My age is unknown but it’s very obvious I’m not very old. I am a female black and white pit bull terrior, and just the sweetest there is. I have been at the shelter since January 16, 2012. Since I was stray, my past is unknown, but one look at me and you know I’ve had quite a few litters, even though I’m just a  puppy myself. :( I am a very mellow pup and don’t mind children or other dogs. Really all I want is someone who will love me and not breed me anymore.  Come visit me today!

Hello, my name is Lila. My ID number is A095025 and should be used when calling the shelter because names can get confusing. I am a female, tricolor and blue merle Rottweiler and Queensland Heeler mix. They think I’m about a year old. I have been at the shelter since January 5, 2012.  I think I should be known as a Queen Rottie, because I’m just that gorgeous! Make sure you take a close look at my left eye. Can you see it? I have two small blue spots that catch the light every now and again and just take your breath away. I’m a dominate female and would do best in a home alone or with a very submissive male companion. I walk well on a leash, know basic commands and wantto please you. I am very intelligent as well as treat motivated, so training will be a breeze. I enjoy playing fetch and wrestling, but most of all, I love to sit on your lap and just give sloppy kisses. I could possibly do well in a home with cats, but introductions should be made very slowly. I also would do well in a home with kids, but I would suggest that older children would be better apt to keep up with my high spirits. I would make a terrific hiking or running partner.

Hello, my name is Domino. My ID number is A094938 and should be used when calling the shelter, as names get very confusing. I am a male, black and white Labrador Retriever mix and my age is unknown. I have been at the shelter since December 29, 2011. I’m young, energetic, fun and playful. I also has amazing amber eyes that melt your heart. Often times, people tend to look over black dogs because they look “boring”, but just take one look at my face and tell me I’m not the cutest thing you’ve seen. I am truly a happy-go-lucky kinda guy and the loud, chaotic shelter environment doesn’t bother me one bit. I could use a little practice walking on a leash, but I responded to correction well. I can also sit and stay on command and love to play fetch. I was tested with cats and my reaction to them was a bit “iffy”. It’s suggested that I go to a home without small animals, but a submissive female friend would be great. I’m truly a sweet boy and just need a little guidance on my doggie manners. If you are willing to put in a small effort, you’ll be rewarded with a life long friend with a heart of gold.  Please hurry as I am very urgent!

Hello, my name is Annika. My ID number is A094939 and should be used when calling the shelter. I am a female blue tiger and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. My age is unknown and I am looking to find my forever home, but hurry because I’m urgent. I am very dedicated and adore people, but have some trust issues with other dogs because I was not properly socialized as a puppy and now I’m danger of being PTS because of my lack of doggie manners. All I need is a loving, yet firm person who can teach me the way to properly interact with other dogs. I love to cuddle and play - I’m really just a big puppy with great potential.
